Early morning shooting at W. Magnolia Avenue McDonalds results in 1 dead, four injured

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- A shooting has occurred at the McDonalds in the 200 block of West Magnolia Avenue in Auburn according to an AU Alert sent out by the Auburn University Department of Campus Safety and Security.

4:09 a.m. Auburn Campus Safety and Security reports that multiple individuals are injured and that Auburn Police are currently on the scene. The suspect is still at large. 

5:30 a.m. Auburn Police say that one person is dead and four are injured following the shooting. One of the individuals injured is an Auburn University student from Hilton Head, South Carolina. The names of the victims have not been released yet. Police do not think that the shooting is random. 

Officials say that the shooting allegedly stems from an altercation and that they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the campus community.
