Police make arrest in connection to Saturday shooting

Auburn, Ala. (EETV)- On Saturday, Auburn Police arrested Jemilia B. Tyson on a felony warrant charging her with Assault 1st Degree.

On Saturday, Auburn Police officers officers responded to an assault in the 1600 block of Wrights Mill Rd. Officers located the victim on the ground in front of a residence with apparent gunshot injuries. An investigation by police determined that a female suspect arrived at the victim's residence and allegedly broke the rear window of a vehicle in retaliation for a previous altercation at an establishment in the 1600 block of S College St. When confronted by the victim, the suspect allegedly shot the 21 year old male, who was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is currently in satisfactory condition.

An investigation by police identified Jemilia B. Tyson as the suspect. On Saturda Tyson turned herself in to Auburn Police. 

Tyson was transported to the Lee County Jail and is eligible for a $50,000 bond.
