Tigers slip in latest AP Poll

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - After going 1-1, Auburn falls for No. 10 in this week's AP Poll. The Tigers were previously ranked No. 8 but fell to Texas A&M Wednesday 81-80.

Auburn would go on to defeat Georgia on the road 78-61 Saturday. The Tigers lost leading scorer Bryce Brown in the first half of their loss to Texas A&M.

Brown did not play at Georgia but did travel with the team. He has been ruled day-to-day with a right shoulder injury.

The Tigers were also ranked No. 5 overall by the NCAA Tournament Committee yesterday.

Auburn is still the highest ranked SEC team in the nation. No. 18 Tennessee and No. 21 Texas A&M make-up the SEC in the Top-25.

After this week, Auburn (10-2) continues to hold the top spot in the SEC. Flordia (8-4) and Tennesee (8-4) round out the top-3 in the conference.

Auburn will, once again, face two SEC opponents this week. First, the Tigers will welcome Kentucky in front of a sold-out crowd Wednesday. They will then travel to South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks.

Tip-off against Kentucky (Feb. 14) will be 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2. Auburn will tip-off Saturday (Feb. 17) against South Carolina at 2:30 p.m.

Auburn's road game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

Admission is free for all homes games for students with a valid Ignited Card. Students are reminded to arrive early Wednesday in order to find a seat in The Jungle.
