AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) - The Alabama College Democrats will host U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Cali., tomorrow evening.
Waters, who has served in the House of Representatives since 1991, is the most senior African-American women currently serving in the House. She is also the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee.
Waters will kick off the Alabama College Democrats 2017 Spring Convention. Waters has been one of the more outspoken opponents of President Trump, recently saying, “I don’t trust this president. His motives and his actions are contemptible, and I will fight every day until he is impeached.”
Several members of the Alabama Democratic Party are also expected to attend the event.
Rep. Waters will speak at Foy Hall. The event begins at 7:00p.m. and students should be able to get in for free with a valid student ID.
