Top Super Bowl LI Commercials

Top Super Bowl LI Commercials

Confession: I didn’t care whether the Falcons or the Patriots won, or who wins the Super Bowl any year. For me, the best part of the Super Bowl are the commercials. Here are the commercials that I thought were the best.

AirB&B

AirB&B celebrated diversity by showing a variety of people of all different races and religions.

Coca-Cola

In a repeat commercial from 2014, Coca-Cola’s commercial depicted “America the Beautiful” sung in a variety of languages, showing that diversity is what really does make America beautiful.

Budweiser

Budweiser really got political this year by showing a dramatized retelling of Budweiser’s founder immigrating to America from Germany, all while being told to “go back home.” However, he stayed, founded Budweiser, and accomplished the American Dream.

Audi

Audi made a statement on gender equality and equal pay through depicted a father watching his young daughter compete in (and win) a go-carting race, all while worrying that when she grows up, her accomplishments aren’t going to be recognized in the same way as those of her male peers.

Honda

Honda inspired us to follow our dreams through celebrity high school year books photos. Tina Fey wonders why she is holding a rose, Missy Elliot encourages you to “make that album”, Jimmy Kimmel encourages us to play the clarinet, and Viola Davis tells us that even though there’s always going to be obstacles, we can overcome them.

Skittles

Who throws rocks at their love interest’s window anymore? Skittles continues to be wonderfully weird as always, when a boy throws throws Skittles to everyone from the girl he loves to her grandma to a robber to a beaver.
