AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police announced that on Monday Derrill Richard “Rick” Ennis was arrested in Pilot, Montgomery County, Virginia, by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, Virginia State SWAT and Montgomery County Virginia SWAT teams on outstanding grand jury indictments for Capital Murder (Burglary) and Capital Murder (Kidnapping). The indictments stem from an ongoing investigation by Auburn Police and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Cold Case Unit into the disappearance of Lori Ann Slesinski in June 2006. Slesinski was first reported missing in June of 2006 after she hadn’t been heard from in several days, couldn’t be reached by family members and had not reported to work.
OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- Opelika Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Binta African Hair Braiding at 1811 West End Court Sunday. Police say that the suspect entered the business, produced a firearm and demanded money.

Auburn sophomore Jordan Langdon officially qualified to run for Auburn's highest office Wednesday according to Auburn city officials. “I’ve always had an interest in government from a young age," stated Langdon in a press release sent out by his campaign "I have had a desire to serve the community that I love so dearly, but I never knew exactly how.
AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police are investigating an early morning traffic accident. Police and Fire personnel responded Tuesday around 7:00 am to a single vehicle accident involving a 2004 Honda CB600 motorcycle in the 300 block of West Veterans Boulevard. A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver, David Avery Smotherman, from Opelika, lost control of the motorcycle, crossed into the opposing lane, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Officials say that Smotherman was pronounced dead on the scene by Lee County Chief Deputy Coroner Gene Manning. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division.
OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- An Opelika man was pronounced dead following a shooting Thursday night. The victim, Antonio Drisker, was reportedly shot in the 200 block of Veterans Parkway in Opelika.

OPELIKA, Ala (EETV)- Opelika Police are looking for three suspects wanted in connection to a June 22 theft at Hibbett Sports. According to police, three suspects entered the store and grabbed several merchandise items. All three suspects then ran from the store without paying for any of the merchandise. The suspects allegedly fled the scene in a pewter in color Mercury Grand Marquis. Police describe the first suspect as a black female approximately 5’06” tall and weighing about 120 pounds with black and blond hair who was last seen wearing a black shirt and pink leggings; the second suspect as a black female about 5’08” tall and weighing about 220 pounds with black hair and who was last seen wearing a black shower cap, white tank top and blue jeans; and the third suspect as a black female about 5’03” tall and weighing about 110 pounds last seen wearing a black shower cap, purple shirt and black leggings. AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- On Sunday afternoon at about 12:40 p.m., Auburn Police responded to an interrupted auto burglary call at a home located in the 500 block of Lee Road 57. An individual, later identified by police as Stephen William Blalock, was allegedly seen unlawfully inside of a 1998 Jeep Wrangler parked at the residence.

Police say that the suspect entered the store and made multiple major purchases using a stolen credit card. Police describe the suspect as as a 5’08” black female weighing approximately 230 lbs.
