Auburn, Ala. (EETV) – On Tuesday, October 13, Auburn University's University Program Council (UPC) transformed Neville Arena into a jungle-themed movie night for students to enjoy a special screening of Jumanji.
The event took place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., welcoming Auburn students for an evening of food, entertainment, and time with friends as they enjoyed a movie on the basketball court.
As students entered Neville Arena, decorations inspired by the movie's jungle setting welcomed them. The basketball arena was transformed into a greenery-filled space with themed decorations, creating a perfect Jumanji atmosphere.
In addition to the movie screening, UPC provided students with a variety of food and refreshments, including chicken, sodas, and cupcakes. Attendees also received specially designed T-shirts as a souvenir from the evening.
One highlight of the night was a special appearance by Auburn's beloved mascot, Aubie the Tiger. Aubie made his way around the arena, interacting with students, posing for photos, and even showing off a few dance moves. His appearance brought additional excitement to the event and gave attendees another memorable experience.
Throughout the evening, UPC staff members welcomed students, answered questions, and made sure everything ran smoothly. When interviewed about the event, staff members emphasized how much they enjoyed organizing activities that bring the Auburn community together.
Events like this give students a break from their busy academic schedules and a chance to connect with others outside the classroom.
