Opelika Public Library holds third annual Opelika Book Festival

The Opelika Public Library held its third annual Opelika Book Festival last week to celebrate local literature and provide connection in the community.

The festival lasted from Feb. 26 to 28 and featured local authors, writing workshops, and panels as an opportunity for authors to present their work to the public. Authors could build excitement about their new content, and readers got to find a variety of hidden gems and new favorite authors.

Featured at the event was New York Times best-selling author Sarah Penner. She was the opening speaker for the festival.

The Opelika Book Festival was an opportunity for local authors and readers alike to get together for a fun and collaborative event at little-to-no cost.
