SGA Elections 2023: Miss Auburn Candidate: B.B Rich

Rich's platform transcript: "War Eagle Auburn Family! My name is Braxton Rich, but my friends call me BB. I am so honored to be running to be your 2023 Miss Auburn. Through my campaign, “Be the Light with BB,” I hope to highlight three safety measures here on campus: Auburn Cares, the Auburn Safety App, and the Blue Emergency Lights. Safety is important to me as I have personally been impacted. On November 5, 2019, I received a call saying my cousin had been killed by senseless violence. His bright future was extinguished in a matter of moments. This tragic ordeal showed me how there is strength in numbers and support. As the Auburn Creed states, “I believe in the obedience to the law because it protects the rights of all.” With this core tenet of the Creed supporting me, I hope to use my platform to bring a greater awareness to Auburn’s safety measures. It’s so important that everyone can feel safe and supported, both on and off campus. I hope you all will join me this week and “Be the Light with BB”! War Eagle!"
