An Experience at the HeyDay Market

Have you heard of Auburn’s new dining hall and gathering place? The Heyday Market has taken Auburn University by storm, providing excellent cuisine while making great memories.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Have you heard of Auburn’s new dining hall and gathering place? The Heyday Market has taken Auburn University by storm, providing excellent cuisine while making great memories.

The dining hall is open for you and your friends to enjoy Monday-Friday 9:30-10:30 p.m. being provided with excellent cuisine at restaurants including Wild Child Tacos, Poke Men, Loud Roots, Little Darling, Cubanita, Arricia, Cherry Moon, Saint Bernardo Gelateria and they had a podcast booth. Students' smiling faces and the delicious smelling food changed the aura of the entire room.

Chef Mark Traynor, the culinary director, was nice enough to speak to us about his purpose at the Heyday Market. We even got a chance to interview some students and workers to give us more insight at the Heyday Market. Traynor values the communion and live entertainment the Heyday Market provides.

It’s intriguing to know the impact the Heyday Market has had on the student body. Since the facility opened, so many students have been making time to enjoy the food at the market. The market differs than any other dining hall because of the aesthetic of the event space. When a student walks into the Heyday market, they are guaranteed to be shocked by the decorations that differ from any other dining hall at Auburn University.

Eagle Eye Tv’s Reporters Jakai Spikes and Sarah Frazier shot a package of The Heyday Market getting amazing quotes from staff and students at the Heyday Market.

“Our trial feeding that we had from now being completely open, it's great to see everyone enjoying the lunch, brunch and dinner. It’s incredible to see all of the positive feedback we've gotten,” said Traynor.

This quote represents the positive feedback the Heyday Market has gotten over time.

The reporters even got a chance to interview Jhayda Whiteside.

“I went to little darling, I had a burger it was very good. I could've done without it being $23,” said Whiteside.

This quote was very important to research and look into.

The Heyday market prices are more expensive than any other dining hall on campus, because you are investing in a meal that is prepared for professional chefs and the food is top tier dining foods. Overall, the HeyDay Market is a success, and students were anticipating for it to be opened and now that it is open they can’t get enough of the amazing treats and cuisine.
