Hoppa, Tigers Add More Transfer Talent to Roster

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) For the second time in two weeks, Auburn head soccer coach Karen Hoppa had the opportunity to announce the addition of a veteran transfer to her squad. Former Virginia Tech midfielder Grace Sklopan is headed to The Plains.

Sklopan — an Alexandria, Va. native — brings with her 36 games and over 3,100 minutes of match experience across her last two seasons and appeared in 57 of 58 games — earning 39 starts — in her three-year career as a Hokie.

Despite primarily playing on the defensive end of the field, Sklopan tallied three points on one goal and one assist during her tenure at Virginia Tech. Her lone goal was a game winner in a 1-0 contest with Wake Forest in 2019.

Prior to her enrollment at Virginia Tech, the midfielder competed for McLean Soccer Club of the ECNL, guiding her squad to the 2018 ECNL National championship and a record of 37-0.
