Gobourne Earns All-American Recognition, SEC Co-Specialist of the Year

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Junior Derrian Gobourne has been racking up awards this week, being named SEC Co-Specialist of the Year, in addition to being placed on the All-SEC team on Wednesday. On Thursday she was named a Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) All-American. 

This is Gobourne’s second year in a row being recognized by the WCGA. It is her third year receiving the All-American title.

Gobourne has led the Tigers on the floor and on the bars. She has scored a 9.9 or higher in seven of nine meets on the floor, earning four floor titles along the way. This includes two 9.975s which is a career-high. She has gathered another three titles on the bars scoring a 9.9 or better five times. 

Gobourne and the Tigers are back in action on April 2 as they travel to Tuscaloosa for the 2021 NCAA Regional Championships.
