Auburn University’s Kreher Preserve and Nature Center will remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University’s Kreher Preserve and Nature Center plans to remain open to the public amidst county-wide COVID-19 closures.

Michael Buckman, center manager said, “An abundance of space makes social distancing inherent to all activities and hinders the spread of the virus. And, all surfaces are exposed to environmental conditions, diminishing the survival of the virus outside the body.”

All preserve and nature center visitors are asked to please respect their fellow visitors by practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet, using hand sanitizer and washing your hands. Gatherings of more than a few individuals will not be permitted. However, all scheduled center programming has been delayed or canceled.

The Kreher Preserve and Nature Center is located at 2222 North College Street and is open every day from seven a.m to seven p.m.

Visitors should check the center’s website or Facebook page prior to visiting in case conditions change.
