Auburn Men’s Golf Ranked 11th

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) – Men’s golf team jumped up two places in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll and are now ranked 11th. The Tigers join eight other SEC teams in the top 25.

Texas A&M is the new No. 1 ranked team, with Oklahoma State at No. 2. Wake Forest is ranked No. 3 followed by Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Texas Tech, Auburn and Vanderbilt rounding out the top12 teams.

The rest of the top 25 teams are Kent State is No. 13 ahead of Illinois, Arizona State, Arkansas, Duke, Missouri, LSU, Texas, BYU, Marquette, Southern California, Florida State and Saint Mary’s.

The Tigers have a couple of top-three finishes in the first two tournaments in the fall. They tied for second in the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas and finished third in the Carpet Capital Collegiate.

Auburn plays next in the Jerry Pate National Oct. 9-10 at Old Overton in Vestavia Hills, Ala. They close out the fall part of the schedule at the Tavistock Invitational at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Fla.
