Montgomery Zoo Offers Christmas Lights Close to Auburn

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (EETV)- Looking for something to do over Christmas break? Check out the Montgomery Zoo Christmas Festival. This festival has been going on for 26 years, and has fun activities for everyone to enjoy.

The Montgomery Zoo transforms into a winter wonderland with thousands of lights and festive decorations. The zoo offers a variety of ways to see the lights, including on foot, by train or by riding their Zoofari Skylift.

The zoo offers various events admissions fees. Regular admissions for the event is $15, which allows guests entry and one Christmas Lights train ride. The Early Bird Combo allows guests to visit the zoo in the afternoon and stay later for the festival that night for $20. Finally, the Early Bird Trio offers guests the opportunity to visit the zoo and the Mann Museum in the afternoon, and stay for the festival that night for $24. All Montgomery Zoo members may enter for free.

In addition to seeing the lights, guests can have a free visit with Santa, enjoy entertainment and concessions at the zoo’s Overlook Cafe or head over to the petting zoo. The zoo also offers guests hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. The festival goes from 5:30 to 9:30 pm and runs until December 31.
