SGA Approves For the Funding of the BSU Step Show

Auburn, Ala. (EETV)- On Monday Night the SGA finalized the bill to fund the Black Student Union (BSU) for their step show happening in Spring 2018.

BSU represents the interests and concerns of black students at Auburn University and they strive to intertwine all aspects of black student life for the purpose of improving the campus environment.

They are being funded $5,000 towards this event. SGA Senator of the College of Architecture, Design, & Construction and the Chair of Inclusion & Diversity Committee, Micheal O'key, stated, "the intent of this bill was to take a step towards finalizing and make sure that they always have funding so that [step show] can happen years to come."

National Panhellenic Council (NPHC) organizations, such as Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Phi Alpha team up with BSU in hosting and stepping in this event.

Justin Smith, Vice President of SGA and Member of Alpha Phi Alpha, stated, "I'm excited that we are going to bring it back, this event always brought people from out of town and put a big name on Auburn University."
