Shelter information for off-campus students

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn University has released shelter information for students and employees ahead of Hurricane Irma.

Ralph Brown Draughon Library will remain open for normal hours and is a designated shelter on campus. Greene Hall at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine on Wire Road will also open at 6 a.m. on Monday and remain open until the storm passes campus. Greene Hall is open to pets.

The university recommends that those staying in either shelter location stay for the entirety of the storm. To prepare for an extended stay, it is recommended that students bring things like non-perishable food, water, medication, clothes, sleeping bags, phones and chargers, flashlights, and things like books or computers to pass the time.

The C-store in the library is open until 11 p.m. Sunday and will be open beginning at 7 a.m. Monday. There are no dining options at Greene Hall.
