UPDATE: The university has clarified that plans for summer study abroad programs are still pending, while students who were abroad this semester have been sent home. A decision on those trips is expected in the weeks following spring break. The FAQ page with more information can be found here.
OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV) - A week after Opelika Police first released information regarding a police impersonator, and days after releasing a sketch of the alleged perpetrator, that report has turned out to be false.

Police believe the incident to be the result of a dispute. Police have advised people to avoid the area and to call 911if they have any information.
