SGA vice presidential winner Carlos Smith

AUBURN, Ala. – Carlos Smith was announced as the new SGA Vice President on Tuesday night, February 5, at the 2019 SGA and Miss Auburn Call Outs.

Smith is a junior from Mobile, Alabama studying exercise science who has served as an SGA Cabinet member.

“I can’t do anything by myself, and I’ve had a great team,” said Smith in an interview with Eagle Eye TV after call outs. “I want to thank the students for going out and voting and for everything.”

As the leader of SGA Senate, Smith hopes to incorporate students outside of SGA into the organization. The new vice president plans on doing this by involving more liaisons and standing committees.

Smith plans on addressing racial equity on campus with the position of SGA Vice President.
