Auburn mayoral candidates respond to Sunday's shooting at McDonalds

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn's mayoral candidates have both responded to yesterday's early morning shooting at the McDonalds on West Magnolia Avenue.

David Hill posted to his campaign's Facebook page:

"Pray for the victims and their friends and families. Pray for first responders. And pray for dear old Auburn."

Councilman Ron Anders posted on his campaign's Facebook page:

"This is a very sad occasion. I am grateful for the rapid response of The Auburn Police Department. I have every confidence that the perpetrator will be identified and arrested. Let us all pray for those who have been injured and for the family of the deceased victim."

The shooting took the life of Tuskegee resident Evan Mikale Wilson and injured four others. A 17 year old resident of Opelika was arrested late Sunday and charged with murder.
