Auburn Police charge three Floridians with theft and drug charges

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- On Sunday Auburn Police arrested Antonio D. Boatwright, Cheryl D. Knox, and Angela L. Masters, all from Ft. Pierce, Florida; for Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, Theft of Property, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The arrests steam from an investigation into several auto burglaries reported Sunday on Wrights Mill Road, North Gay Street and Biggio Drive. Police say that three vehicles, a 2012 Nissan Juke, 2003 Toyota Matrix and a 2017 Toyota Corolla were unlawfully entered and had property stolen from them; including a purse, checkbook, credit cards and cash.

Further investigation resulted in video footage of a suspect vehicle. APD Officers located the suspect vehicle that Boatwright, Knox and Masters were traveling in and recovered property taken during the auto burglaries. Officers also recovered a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and immediately took the suspects into custody on drug related charges.

All three are currently in the Lee County Jail. Police say the investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
