Event celebrating Auburn Equestrian's national championship win to be held Tuesday

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)– The Auburn national champion equestrian team will be honored with a celebration at Toomer’s Corner Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. CT.

Fans are encouraged to join the team as they celebrate by rolling the trees surrounding Toomer’s Corner. Toilet paper will fly following a presentation from head coach Greg Williams, Director of Athletics Allen Greene, and members of the team. The squad along with the coaches and the Auburn spirit squad will be in attendance.

Fans are also encouraged to bring their own rolls to throw.

In addition to the national championship, the Auburn squad brought home four more trophies from Waco. The Tigers captured the Equitation Over Fences and Horsemanship titles as well as the overall Hunt Seat and overall Western crowns.

Junior Caitlin Boyle was named the Most Outstanding Performer for the championship match in Fences, while freshman Taylor St. Jacques earned the honor in Equitation on the Flat.

The NCEA also recognized its All-Championship team at the conclusion of the busy week. St. Jacques and Boyle each earned a spot on both the Flat and Fences teams. St. Jacques was undefeated in both events, while Boyle only dropped one point in Flat. Junior Hayley Iannotti joined the pair on the Flat team, while junior Ashton Alexander was placed on the Fences squad.

Senior Alexa Rivard was honored with a placement on the All-Championship Reining team.
