Auburn Police arrest Cusseta man on robbery and domestic violence charges

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, Auburn Police arrested Willie Bonner Huguley, age 43, from Cusseta on warrants charging him with Robbery First Degree and Domestic Violence Second Degree.


At about 5:30 a.m., Auburn Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 2500 block of Innovation Drive. Officers arrived on the scene and were informed that Huguley had physically assaulted a female in the parking lot and had taken her purse. The victim was transported by private vehicle to EAMC emergency room for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation into the incident revealed that the victim, a 34 year old family member, was confronted by Huguley when she arrived for work. They became engaged in a verbal confrontation that resulted in Huguley assaulting the victim with a knife after Huguley fled the scene.

Warrants were obtained for Huguley's arrest and he was located a short later by Auburn Police, with the assistance of Lee County Sheriff Department Deputies, at his residence in Cusseta and taken into custody.

Huguley was transported to the Lee County Jail, where he was being held on an $115,000 bond.
