Women's Tennis Hosts Mississippi State for First Home SEC Competition

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) -  No. 18 women's tennis will be back home to face Mississippi State Thursday at 6 p.m. for its first home SEC competition.

The Tigers will then host a doubleheader against No. 13 Ole Miss and Alabama A&M Saturday. The first match against Ole Miss will begin at noon, and the second match against Alabama A&M is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

Auburn returns home from their first road trip in SEC play where they went 1-1. Although they lost to No. 4 Vanderbilt 4-1, the Tigers were able to defeat Kentucky 4-3 after being down 3-1.

Auburn is now 12-5 on the season and 1-1 in SEC play. Freshman Madeline Meredith also joins senior Alizee Machaud as another Tiger with double-digit wins, going 12-2 in singles competition this spring. 

Regarding doubles, the freshman duo of Meredith and Jaeda Daniel have been the Tigers' most formidable pair this season with a 6-1 record.
