Men's Golf Runs Away with the Tiger Invitational

OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV) - No. 6 Auburn golf cruised to victory at their Tiger Invitational, leading the field by 25 strokes. Georgia State would finish in second place behind the Tigers.

The Tigers ended Sunday's play ahead of Kennesaw State by three strokes. Wells Padget and Jovan Rebula both carded four under par with five birdies on the day. 

In the second round, Auburn extended their lead to 14 strokes. Graysen Huff and Padget headlined the round for the Tigers. 

Huff birdied seven times and finished five under par. Padget ended second individually at six under par for the round.

Eight of Auburn's golfers finished in the top-10 individually. The best score was from Ben Schlottman who finished second at 10 under par. 

Other scores included Ryan Knop who finished third behind Schlottman at eight under par.  Huff and  Rebula tied for eighth at four under par.

Auburn will return to the green March 18-19 at the John Hayt Invitational in Ponte Verda, Florida.
