AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Alabama State Sen. Tom Whatley sat down with Eagle Eye TV to discuss a recent bill named after a local Auburn girl that passed in the Alabama State Senate.

The Sadie Grace Andrews Bill would require all businesses to have locks or protection of some kind on outdoor grease traps.

Andrews, the Auburn girl who the bill is named for, died after falling into an unprotected grease trap at a local ice cream store.

Whatley also discussed some of the issues up for debate this session and how students can get involved in the legislative process.
