Four Auburn alumni inducted into Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame

AUBURN, Ala (EETV)- The Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame welcomed six new members Sunday, including four Auburn University alumni.

The four Auburn alumni inductees are: Perry Hand (class of 1969), Larry Morton (class of 1979), Olivia Owen (class of 1977) and Ken Smith (class of 1981).

There was also a project honored during the ceremony, The Big Spring Water Plant and Treatment Water Supply Improvements, which is located in Tuscumbia. 

The state of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame was founded by the governor and works to preserve and perpetuate the outstanding works and contributions of individuals, projects and organizations that brought and continue to bring recognition to Alabama. 

Engineering schools that oversee the hall of fame include: Auburn University, Alabama A&M University, The University of Alabama, Tuskegee University, The University of Alabama at Birmingham, The University of Alabama in Huntsville and The University of South Alabama.
