Auburn officials lead active shooter response training

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn University Campus Safety and Security held their second active shooter response training of the year Tuesday evening.

The training was led by Chance Corbett, Interim Executive Director of Campus Safety and Security. Corbett has taught law enforcement nationally and across the state of Alabama for many years.

One of the most important topics Corbett discussed throughout the evening was the importance of making decisions and how those decisions could prevent you and others around you from being injured.

Corbett also discussed the history involving active shooter situations and how the innovation of police tactics have evolved.

The next training is scheduled for February 22 and will be held at the Department of Campus Safety and Security building on West Magnolia Avenue.
