Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn Police are investigating a rash of thefts across the city that appear to be connected.
A total of 12 thefts were reported between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Captian Lorenza Dorsey, Auburn investigators worked with Montgomery Police to recover property that was taken in some of the thefts including two of the stolen vehicles. The
According to Dorsey, the cases appear to be connected, "The central Alabama area has experienced similar thefts by suspects from the area where the property was recovered."
All of the thefts were related to vehicles being left unclocked. APD reminds residents to lock vehicles to report suspicious activity to police.
