Auburn, Ala. (EETV) – Auburn opened their fall season traveling to Coral Gables, Fl. for the Miami Fall Invite. 

The Tigers had nine combined victories in singles and doubles against players from Florida Gulf Coast University, Miami, and Pittsburgh.

Freshman Jaeda Daniel went 2-0 in singles play including a 6-3, 6-1 win over Miami’s 2017 NCAA Tournament semifinalist.

In doubles play, senior Alizee Michaud and Daniel had a 6-1 victory against FGCU while senior Mary Katherine Lewis and Daniel took down Pittsburgh 6-0.

Another notable performance for Auburn was a doubles win by junior Alannah Griffin and freshman Madeline Meredith who defeated FGCU 6-4. 

In addition, the pairing of Lewis and junior Caroline Turner resulted in a pair of 6-4 decisions.

Auburn travels to Malibu, CA for the All American Championships on Sept. 30.
