UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: The rain and thunderstorms have effectively ended the threat for much of the western sections of Central Alabama. The east and specifically the southeast will continue to see a slight risk for isolated damaging winds and perhaps a brief spin-up tornado throughout the evening. The northern half of the line, or generally north of I-20 will continue to accelerate into the Gerogia, ending the threat.
